Insurance Benefits Consultants (“IBC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and in the course of providing insurance services, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using our website or providing information to us, you agree to this Policy.
IBC is a licensed independent insurance agency headquartered in Neosho, Missouri, serving individuals, families, and businesses across Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. We offer Medicare, health, life, dental, vision, and supplemental coverage; personal property & casualty insurance (home, auto, and recreational vehicle); and business insurance and employee benefits.
Information you provide to us. When you request a quote, contact us, ask for help with a claim, or sign up for our newsletter, we may collect your name, contact information (email, phone, mailing address, ZIP code), date of birth, and details relevant to the coverage you’re interested in — such as vehicle and driver information, property information, current insurance, household or business information, and, where needed to quote or service health, Medicare, or life coverage, limited health-related information. Please provide only what a form requests; do not send Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or detailed medical records through the website — we collect any sensitive information needed through a secure method.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site — using cookies and similar technologies, including analytics services such as Google Analytics.
Information from third parties. To prepare quotes and service coverage, we may receive information about you from insurance carriers, consumer-reporting and data-prefill services, and similar sources.
We use your information to respond to your inquiries and requests; prepare quotes and recommend coverage; apply for, service, and renew your insurance with carriers; assist with claims; communicate with you (including by phone, email, and text where you have consented); send newsletters and updates you have opted in to receive; operate, improve, and secure our website; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
As a licensed insurance agency, IBC is a “financial institution” under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). In the course of providing insurance, we collect nonpublic personal information (“NPI”) about you from your applications and forms, from your transactions with us and insurance carriers, and from consumer or other reporting sources. We do not sell your NPI. We disclose NPI only as permitted by law — for example, to insurance carriers, underwriters, and service providers as necessary to quote, place, service, or renew your coverage, or as required by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your NPI.
We share information only as needed to serve you and operate our business, including with insurance carriers, underwriters, and general agencies to quote and service your coverage; service providers and vendors that support our operations (for example, our agency management and quoting systems, customer-relationship and email platforms, and automation tools); and government or regulatory authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information. Mobile phone opt-in and text-messaging consent information is never shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Our site uses cookies to improve your experience and understand site usage. Pages may include embedded content (such as videos, maps, or a Google reviews widget) or third-party tools (such as Google Analytics or social media features); those third parties may collect information about your interaction with that content under their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
By providing a telephone number and submitting a form, you consent to be contacted by SMS text message at that number (message frequency may vary). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messaging and HELP for help. Your mobile opt-in and consent information is not shared with third parties.
If you opt in, we may send you newsletters, updates, and educational information. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time. We honor opt-out requests promptly.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information (such as Social Security or financial account numbers) through website forms or unencrypted email.
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain your coverage records, and meet legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping requirements, after which we dispose of it securely.
You may opt out of marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link) or texts (reply STOP); ask us to update or correct your information; and request access to or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations. To make a request, contact us using the information below.
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Our site may link to third-party websites we do not control, such as Medicare.gov, the Social Security Administration, insurance carrier portals, our client service center (EZLynx), and Employee Navigator. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies directly.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options. We are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. Government or the federal Medicare program.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be posted on this page.
